Jangiri Madhumitha

Biography:

Madhumitha is an Indian actress recognized for her appearances in Tamil language films and reality shows on Vijay TV. She is notably known for her roles in comedy and made her debut in the film industry with Rajesh’s “Oru Kal Oru Kannadi” (2012). In addition to her film career, she has also taken part in television programs like “Lollu Sabha” and “Kalakka Povathu Yaaru?”. Furthermore, she participated in the reality show “Bigg Boss Tamil 3” in 2019 as a contestant, ultimately being evicted on Day 55.

Madhumitha commenced her journey in the entertainment world with Vijay TV’s comedy series “Lollu Sabha.” She marked her entry into feature films with Rajesh’s “Oru Kal Oru Kannadi” (2012), where she was paired alongside Santhanam. Her portrayal of the character Jangiri gained her popularity and recognition, leading to her winning the Vikatan award for Best Female Comedian. She has since taken on roles in various films such as “Idharkuthane Aasaipattai Balakumara” (2013), “Jilla” (2014), “Kanchana 2” (2015), and “Viswasam” (2019) in supporting comedic roles. Her contributions to the industry were acknowledged with the Kalaimamani award from EPS in 2021.

In terms of her personal life, Madhumitha is the daughter of Vannai Govindan, an AIADMK cadre. She tied the knot with her cousin Moses Joel in February 2019.
