American visual artist, film producer, and scholar Ian Cooper was born in 1978. He is most recognized for his work with Jordan Peele, and he is presently the creative director of Peele’s Monkeypaw Productions.
Cooper has exhibited alone at museums and galleries both domestically and overseas. A number of publications, including Artforum, The New York Times, and others, have reported about his “mixed-media sculptures”. His pieces can be found in the permanent collections of the Pérez Art Museum and the Whitney Museum of American Art.
