Indian comedian and actor Hareesh Perumanna, better known by his stage name Hareesh Kanaran, frequently features in Malayalam films. His most well-known role was that of Jaliyan Kanaran, a stock character who made his debut on Mazhavil Manorama’s comedic Festival comedic reality show.
In Kerala, India’s Kozhikode district, in the village of Perumanna, Hareesh was born. He completed his elementary schooling at Kozhikode’s Govt. Ganapath High School for Boys. At the school youth festival, he acted in the drama Naatam, which won first place in the drama category. Hareesh and Sandhya, a schoolteacher, are parents to a daughter and a son named Dhyan Hari.
