Hannah John-Kamen

Biography:

Hannah John-Kamen was born in Hull to a Norwegian fashion model and a Nigerian forensic psychologist. Both her brother and sister are older than her. She trained at the National Youth Theater, completed her senior schooling at Hull Collegiate School, and attended elementary school in the adjacent Kirk Ella. John-Kamen relocated to London when he was eighteen. The Central School of Speech and Drama awarded her a degree in 2012.

In 2011, John-Kamen started her career as a voice actor for the video game Dark Souls. The television programs Misfits (2011), Black Mirror (2011), Whitechapel (2012), The Syndicate (2012), The Midnight Beast (2012), and The Hour (2012) all featured her.

She played the lead role of Viva in the West End musical Viva Forever, which had a Spice Girls theme, from December 11, 2012, to June 29, 2013. The musical received mostly unfavorable reviews when it debuted at the Piccadilly Theater. The Daily Mirror, on the other hand, commended John-Kamen’s performance and described it as a “shame” that she and the other actors were “let down by a clichéd plot and leaden dialog”
