Freya Allan

Biography:

English actress Freya Allan was born on September 6, 2001. Her most well-known roles are as Mae in the 2024 action movie Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes and Princess Cirilla of Cintra in the Netflix series The Witcher, for which she received two Saturn Award nominations. She also starred in the AMC series Into the Badlands and the 2021 movie Gunpowder Milkshake.
Allan studied dance and drama in school, and at the age of eleven, he participated in a travelling production of Rapunzel.She starred in two National Film and Television School short films, Bluebird and The Christmas Tree. Later, she played Linda in the Bournemouth Film School short film Captain Fierce.

Alongside Henry Cavill and Anya Chalotra, Allan has played Princess Ciri in the Netflix fantasy drama series The Witcher since 2019. Lauren Schmidt Hissrich developed the series from the Andrzej Sapkowski book series. She stayed in Budapest, Hungary for eight months when the first series was being filmed. She was first cast as a one-off role before being recast as Ciri.[8][11] Allan played Ciri again in the second series, which debuted on Netflix in 2021 after being produced in London in early 2020. Beginning in June 2023, the third season featured Allan receiving sword training while Ciri learnt to become a warrior.

In the first episode of the 2019 BBC program The War of the Worlds, Allan had a little part. In the year they celebrated their tenth anniversary, she was featured on the front cover of Schön! magazine. For her role in The Witcher, Allan received nominations for the 2021 and 2024 Saturn Awards for Best Performance by a Younger Actor.
