Biography:

Sweden’s Stockholm is where Elli AvrRam was born. She was raised in Stockholm’s Tyresö kommun. Her Swedish mother, Maria Granlund, is an actress who appeared in Ingmar Bergman’s Fanny and Alexander, and her Greek father, Jannis Avramidis, is a musician who has made Sweden his home.From a young age, AvrRam developed a love in singing, dancing, and figure skating.

Her mother and aunt, who own a theater in Skne County, Sweden, gave AvrRam acting lessons.Since she was a young child, AvrRam has had a connection to India. She stated in an interview with the local daily Mitt i in Stockholm that “Even when I was five, I was fascinated by Indian dance and the colorful clothes.” She discovered some Greek songs are related because her father is a Greek musician.

She discovered that certain Greek songs share Indian melodies. AvrRam has wanted to be a Bollywood actor since she was a young girl.She would visit a video store in Stockholm where Hindi movies were once sold and purchase Bollywood movies there. She also utilized YouTube to view Hindi movies.

At 17, AvrRam joined the Pardesi Dance Group in Stockholm, performing Bollywood dance. She appeared in a 2008 Swedish film, “Förbjuden Frukt,” and competed in Miss Greece 2010. AvrRam moved to Mumbai in 2012 to pursue Bollywood. After a commercial with Akshay Kumar, she got a lead role in “Mickey Virus,” a comedy thriller. Despite initial language challenges, her acting impressed the director, leading to her selection among 200 candidates.

AvrRam’s mother’s connection to Ingmar Bergman intrigued the director. She trained in dance and Hindi for her role as Kamayani George, starring opposite Manish Paul. The film released in October 2013.

Swedish actress AvrRam, often compared to Katrina Kaif, made her mark in Bollywood. She joined Bigg Boss 7, the reality show, for fun, gaining popularity despite eviction. Her presence led to poster bans at colleges. She appeared on Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa and starred in Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon.

Notable songs include “Billionaire” and “Chamma Chamma.” AvrRam’s journey includes films like Malang and a Tamil debut in Naane Varuvean. Her dance with Aamir Khan in “Har Funn Maula” gained over 90 million YouTube views.
