Biography:

Elan is an Indian scriptwriter and director who mostly creates work for the Tamil cinema industry. Since completing his education in 2007, Elan has been producing short films. Elan is the son of photographer Stills Pandian.

He contributed to Graghanam, which starred Krishna and Chandran, in 2017. The film was a thriller that followed the events of a night. But the movie hasn’t been released yet. He finished a screenplay about a love story and started on the next one without consulting any producers.

Pyaar Prema Kaadhal (2018), Elan’s directorial debut, came about by coincidence when a friend of Yuvan Shankar Raja inquired about romance scripts.[2] Elan received a fancy car as a present from Yuvan Shankar Raja in honor of Pyaar Prema Kaadhal’s popularity.

Later, the movie was recreated as Urvasivo Rakshasivo (2022) in Telugu. Following their cooperation in Pyaar Prema Kaadhal (2018), Elan and Harish Kalyan were rumored to work together once more on Elan’s next 2019 film It was rumored in August 2023 that Kavin would take Harish’s position for the main part.

Principal photography in Chennai started on June 1st, 2023 Elan said in an interview that his late father was the main influence for his film Star, adding that “Vaaranam Aayiram was one of my biggest inspirations to make Star.”
