Actress Edith Falco was born in the United States on July 5, 1963. Known for her roles on stage and screen, she is a well-known personality in American television. She has won multiple awards, including two Golden Globes, five Screen Actors Guild Awards, four Primetime Emmy Awards, and a Tony Award nomination.
Falco won three Primetime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series for her portrayal of mob wife Carmela Soprano on the HBO series The Sopranos, which received tremendous praise and is frequently considered one of the best performances in television history. For her work as the lead character in the Showtime series Nurse Jackie (2009–2015), she was also honored with a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series. Her performances as Leslie Abramson in Law & Order True Crime: The Menendez Murders (2018) and C.C. Cunningham in 30 Rock (2008) earned her an Emmy nomination.
