Actor Durgesh Kumar hails from Bihar, India. He has appeared in online series and Hindi films. After coming to Delhi in 2001, Kumar studied engineering. But after struggling with the entrance exam, he turned his attention to theater.
During this time, he appeared in about 35 plays. He completed an acting certificate program at the Shri Ram Centre Performing Arts from 2004 to 2006 and concurrently worked for a bachelor’s degree with honors from Ignou from 2004 to 2007.
After being admitted to the National School of Drama (NSD), Kumar earned a postgraduate degree in acting. After playing Aadoo in the movie “Highway,” he went on to play Bhushan in the critically acclaimed web series “Panchayat.” Durgesh complimented the show’s creators for creating the part of Banrakas and expressed amazement at the character’s success.
Durgesh Kumar told a member of the press that his family was his biggest source of support throughout his difficult times. After Durgesh struggled in the engineering entrance exam, his older brother recommended that he pursue theater. The actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui is Durgesh Kumar’s main inspiration in the performing arts.
