Debra Hayward is a British film producer who was born on April 15, 1964. Alongside fellow Working Title executive Liza Chasin, Hayward was Head of Film at Working Title Films and often worked as an executive producer on the company’s feature films. She founded Monumental Pictures, her own production firm, after producing Les Misérables.
The daughter of John I. Hayward and his wife, Annetta Lansky, was born in Liverpool in 1964. In 1989, Hayward began working as a producer’s assistant at Working Title Films, where he worked on films such as Dakota Road and Fools of Fortune. Later on, she joined the company as a development executive and produced a number of films, including Map of the Human Heart and London Kills Me. As Head of Film at Working Title, Hayward collaborated with her American counterpart, Liza Chasin, to oversee the creative direction of the company’s whole roster of feature films.
