Debora Cahn is an American film and television producer and writer. In addition to being the creator, executive producer, and showrunner of the Netflix political thriller series The Diplomat, she worked as a writer and executive producer on the final two seasons of the Showtime series Homeland (2018–2020). Cahn has been nominated numerous times and has won two Writers Guild of America Awards.
Cahn earned a master’s degree in acting from Harvard University’s Institute for Advanced Theatre Training after graduating from Columbia University’s Barnard College. Her mother worked as a clinical psychologist, while her father was a nuclear scientist.
