On November 16, 1975, David Leitch was born is an American actor, director, stunt coordinator, and stunt performer. He and Chad Stahelski co-directed the action movie John Wick (2014), however only Stahelski received credit. Later, he directed Hobbs & Shaw (2019), Bullet Train (2022), The Fall Guy (2024), Atomic Blonde (2017), and Deadpool 2 (2018).
In 1993, Leitch earned a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from the University of Minnesota. Leitch doubled for Jean-Claude Van Damme twice and Brad Pitt five times. Leitch and his team took home two Screen Actors Guild Awards for The Bourne Ultimatum. In addition, he and fellow stuntman Kai Martin earned the 2008 Taurus World Stunt Award for outstanding performance. Confessions of an Action Star, a 2009 spoof of action movies and the action film business, was written and starring him.
