Biography:
American author Daniel Kraus was born on June 7, 1975, and is well-known for his work with Guillermo del Toro and George A. Romero. He has written 22 novels as of November 2025, including Whalefall (2023), Angel Down (2025), and The Living Dead (2020, co-authored with George A. Romero). In addition, he has three graphic novels and a non-fiction book that will be released in 2026.
Kraus joined the American book review publication Booklist in 2012 as the Books for Youth editor.For his book Angel Down, Kraus received the 2026 Pulitzer Prize for Fiction.
