Biography:
Clint Eastwood is an internationally renowned American actor, film director, film producer, and composer who has been active in the industry for more than seven decades. Born on 31st May 1930 in San Francisco, California, he first rose to prominence for playing Rowdy Yates in the TV show “Rawhide” (1959-1966). Later, he made a name for himself in Hollywood movies as the “Man with No Name” starring in Sergio Leone’s Dollars Trilogy-A Fistful of Dollars (1964), For a Few Dollars More (1965) and The Good, the Bad and the Ugly (1966). He became known for being the protagonist of the series of Dirty Harry movies starting from the movie Dirty Harry (1971).
Besides being a prolific actor, Eastwood has a remarkable career as a filmmaker directing several movies like Play Misty for Me (1971), The Outlaw Josey Wales (1976), Bird (1988), Unforgiven (1992), Mystic River (2003), Million Dollar Baby (2004), Gran Torino (2008), and American Sniper (2014). Among these, Unforgiven and Million Dollar Baby were both awarded the Academy Award for the Best Picture and Eastwood won the Best Director Oscar for both the movies. He has won many Golden Globe Awards, BAFTA Awards and Academy Honorary Award among other recognitions.
