Biography:
Christopher Walken is an American actor who is known for his unique voice, unique mannerism and memorable roles in dramas, crimes, comedies and thrillers. Born on March 31, 1943 in Astoria, Queens, New York, Walken started his career as a child actor and continued acting both on stage and TV. Some of his earliest films include The Anderson Tapes (1971), Annie Hall (1977), The Deer Hunter (1978) and The Dead Zone (1983). Christopher Walken won an Oscar for his role of Nick Chevotarevich in The Deer Hunter.
Walken managed to establish himself as one of the most distinctive character actors of American cinematography, appearing in such films as A View to a Kill (1985), At Close Range (1986), King of New York (1990), Batman Returns (1992), Pulp Fiction (1994), Things to Do in Denver When You’re Dead (1995) and Catch Me If You Can (2002). Walken continued working with films like Hairspray (2007), Seven Psychopaths (2012), The Jungle Book (2016) and even the television show Severance. In addition to his film career, Walken managed to create an impressive stage acting career and even appeared on Saturday Night Live several times, earning fame for his eccentric comedic roles in addition to serious roles.
