Chitra Shenoy

Biography:

Chitra Shenoy is a prominent Indian actress and producer known for her work in South Indian movies and television series. With a career spanning several decades, she has made her mark in both Kannada and Malayalam cinema, having acted in over 600 films.

In the Kannada film industry, Chitra Shenoy is recognized as the ‘young mother’ due to her portrayal of motherly roles to many top stars. She gained fame in Malayalam cinema for her role as Mammootty’s mother in the film “Rajamanikyam.”

She further cemented her status as a versatile actress by playing the villainous mother-in-law character in the Malayalam serial “Sthreedhanam,” earning her widespread recognition across Kerala.

Apart from her acting career, Chitra Shenoy is also a successful producer and owns the production company Good Company Productions.

Born into a Sankethi Brahmin family in Hassan, Chitra Shenoy is the youngest of two children. She graduated in home science and is married to Gurudas Shenoy, a prominent Kannada film and television producer. Together, they have a daughter named Kushi Shenoy.

Chitra Shenoy and her husband jointly run two television production companies, Dakshin Videotech, and Good Company Productions. They reside in Bangalore with their family.
