Callan Green

Biography:

Callan Green ACS NZCS is an award-winning director of photography from New Zealand who works on high-end television shows and feature films. Having worked in the camera department for more than 27 years, he is renowned for his collaborative approach to filming and dynamic visual style. He recently finished principal photography for Timo Tjahjanto’s The Beekeeper 2, which was produced by Miramax and starred Jason Statham, Jeremy Irons, Gemma Redgrave, Pom Klementieff, and Adam Copeland. In addition, he was the primary director of photography for the upcoming eight-part spy series P.O.N.I.E.S. for NBCUniversal/Peacock, which starred Emilia Clarke and Haley Lu Richardson. He also worked on Universal’s Nobody 2, which was produced by 87North.

Lead DP on Gangs of London: Series 3 (Sky Atlantic/AMC & Pulse Films) and episodes 5-8 of Guy Ritchie’s The Gentlemen for Netflix/Miramax are two more television credits. Second unit work on Masters of the Air, Fast & Furious 9, and splinter units on Fast X are examples of feature experience.

Callan was named New Zealand Cinematographer of the Year (2024) for The Gentlemen and is a member of both the Australian Cinematographers Society (ACS) and the New Zealand Cinematographers Society (NZCS). Worldwide Production Agency (WPA) is his representative, and he resides in southwest London. He has work permits for the United Kingdom, the United States, Australia, and New Zealand.
