C. H. Subba Reddy

Biography:

Telugu film director C.H. Subba Reddy rose to prominence with his first feature film, “Rough (2014).” Subba Reddy was raised in the Nagulavaram Village of the Guntur District of the state of Andhra Pradesh.

He was born on January 1st, 1970. Reddy has a deep passion for movies when he was in school. He shamelessly acknowledged in an interview that he had skipped a few classes to indulge his movie addiction. The young Subba had made up his mind to pursue a career in filmmaking.

After completing his graduation from the Guntur area, Reddy was excited to explore the exciting world of film. But his decision to travel in such a sector of employment didn’t sit well with his family. Subsequently, he pursued a Master’s degree to appease his parents.

Young Subba was given permission to follow his passion once it was seen how committed and devoted he was to his love of movies. Subba Reddy left his master’s program in Nanded to pursue his dream of being a Tollywood actor in Hyderabad. Subba Reddy worked as an assistant director for eleven years starting in 2003, so it wasn’t an easy journey.

But Reddy expressed his appreciation to the many outstanding directors he worked with, including Surender Reddy, K. R. Reddy, and SV Krishna Reddy.In 2014, C. H. Subba Reddy directed the Telugu box office success “Rough,” starring Aadi and Rakul Preet Singh.

On November 28, 2014, the movie was released, and audiences responded favorably to it. Despite having an 8 crore rupee budget, it made roughly 18 crores at the box office. In an interview, Subba Reddy recounted that as a young boy, he was considered a “cinema freak.”

After years of working as an underdog, Subba Reddy has finally directed his first feature film. Seeing the huge success of his own film has made him happier than ever.
