Bobby–Sanjay

Biography:

Indian screenwriters Bobby and Sanjay collaborate on Malayalam films. The actor Prem Prakash is their father.

Sanjay and Bobby write the scripts for Malayalam movies. Ente Veedu Appuvinteyum (2003), written by Sibi Malayil, was the first movie they scripted. Rosshan Andrews directed Notebook (2006), their second big-screen endeavor.

Teenage pregnancy is one of the modern subjects they were able to include in the movie, which has a cult following among Keralan youth. They wrote the screenplay for the movie Traffic in 2010. They spent over two years writing the script for Traffic, which was based on real-life events.

The movie was a huge hit in Kerala. For Casanovva (2012), one of the priciest Malayalam films at the moment, they collaborated once more with Rosshan Andrews.

The movie received harsh reviews, did poorly at the box office, and was named one of the year’s most disappointing movies. Their subsequent project, Ayalum Njanum Thammil, which was directed by Lal Jose, focused on a dedicated senior physician and a careless junior physician. The film depicted the medical field via their connection.

The movie received multiple awards, including four Kerala State Film Awards, and was one of the year’s most successful productions. In the 2013 movie Mumbai Police, they reunited with Rosshan Andrews for the third time. The movie was a tremendous hit at the box office and received great reviews.

One critic on Sify.com referred to it as “one of the best films to have emerged from Malayalam cinema in a long time.” They collaborated with Rosshan Andrews for the fourth time in 2014 on the film How Old Are You, which signaled the return of star Manju Warrier to the motion picture industry following a more than ten-year break.
