Biswajit Chakraborty, born on June 1, 1951, is an Indian cinema actor known primarily for his roles in Bengali films. He hails from Kolkata, West Bengal, and marked his entry into the film industry with “Sunya Theke Suru,” directed by Ashoke Viswanathan. Throughout his career, he has graced the screen in over a hundred films, including notable titles like “Autograph,” “Bye Bye Bangkok,” and the Bollywood production “Kahaani 2.”
He embarked on his acting journey as a child artist in the Bengali movie ‘Manna Dey’ in 1956. Subsequently, he appeared in a few other Bengali films. In 1962, he marked his entry into Hindi cinema with the film ‘Basant Bahar,’ and from that point onwards, he has graced the screens in more than 200 Hindi films. Some of his memorable performances can be witnessed in movies like ‘Anand,’ ‘Guddi,’ ‘Kati Patang,’ ‘Anuraag,’ ‘Mili,’ ‘Chupke Chupke,’ ‘Parichay,’ ‘Abhimaan,’ ‘Chhoti Si Baat,’ ‘Gol Maal,’ and ‘Sholay.’
