Biography:

Bijay Anand is a seasoned actor in Indian Television and Films, having dedicated a significant portion of his life to the industry. Born in Mumbai and currently in his early forties, Bijay has been a prominent figure with nearly two decades of experience in movies. He was previously married to Sonali Khare but is currently single, having no current affairs or relationships.

Widely recognized for his role in the film “Pyar To Hona Hi Tha,” Bijay began his acting journey with the Bollywood movie “Yash” in 1996. His good looks and remarkable features contributed to his success in the field. The pinnacle of his career was the hit movie “Pyar To Hona Hi Tha,” where he starred alongside Kajol. During his acting career, he ventured into yoga, attending classes and becoming fitness-conscious, practicing daily exercises.

Eventually, his passion for yoga led him to establish “Anahata Retreat,” where he not only practices and teaches yoga but also promotes the discipline. In an interview, Bijay expressed his contentment about leaving the film industry to pursue a life dedicated to finding inner peace through yoga and meditation.

However, after 17 years, the love for acting reignited in his heart, prompting a comeback to the Film and Television Industry. He currently portrays the role of Sita’s father, Janak, in the television series “Siya Ke Ram,” yet to be released. Despite facing challenges and tight struggles in the initial phase of his career, Bijay is recognized for being true to his heart and listening to his instincts.

Remarkably, yoga played a pivotal role in his life, aiding in the cure of high cholesterol and arthritis. After successfully overcoming health challenges, Bijay returned to the camera as a seasoned professional. In addition to his acting endeavors, he actively teaches yoga in both the US and India, emphasizing the transformative power of the discipline.
