Biography:

Arun Govil is an Indian actor, producer, and philanthropist, best known for his portrayal of Lord Rama in the television series “Ramayan” (1987). He was born on January 12, 1958, in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, India.

Arun Govil began his acting career in the late 1970s with minor roles in films. However, it was his role as Lord Rama in Ramanand Sagar’s epic television series “Ramayan” that brought him immense fame and recognition. The show, based on the Hindu epic Ramayana, became a cultural phenomenon in India and is still considered one of the most successful and beloved television series in Indian history.

His portrayal of Lord Rama in “Ramayan” was widely acclaimed, and Arun Govil became synonymous with the character. His calm and composed demeanor, along with his earnest and righteous portrayal, resonated with the audience, making him a household name across the country.
