Arthana was born as the daughter of Binu Daniel and actor Vijayakumar. Later, the couple separated. She finished her education at Trivandrum’s Sarvodaya Vidyalaya. In the eleventh grade, she began anchoring in Malayalam on TV channels. She enrolled in Mar Ivanios College in Thiruvananthapuram to pursue a Bachelor of Journalism, Mass Communication, and Video Production after completing her education.
Arthana started working as a model even before she received her degree. Her popularity grew when she became the anchor of Smart program, a well-liked game program hosted by Sreekandan Nair and televised by Flowers TV.
