Archit Kumar

Biography:

Archit Kumar is an Indian filmmaker and director whose expertise lies in filmmaking in Hindi films and digital entertainment. He kick-started his career as an assistant director and a script supervisor, having worked in some of the most successful Bollywood movies including Holiday: A Soldier Is Never Off Duty (2014), Bajrangi Bhaijaan (2015), Sultan (2016), Tiger Zinda Hai (2017), Ishqeria (2018), and Ajeeb Daastaans (2021). His stint in these movies laid a solid groundwork for him before venturing into independent direction and web series.

His directorial career began with the short film Sepia (2019) and the comedy series Thoda Adjust Please (2021). Later, he co-directed the medical drama Dr. Arora (2022) by SonyLIV along with Sajid Ali and Imtiaz Ali, who wrote the series. Apart from this, he directed episodes of the industry drama Showtime (2024) of Disney+ Hotstar and the romantic comedy series Do You Wanna Partner (2025). Being a filmmaker known for his pragmatic approach to narrative cinema, polished visuals, and humor that doesn’t undermine emotionality, Archit Kumar has proved to be a rising filmmaker of Indian OTT content space.
