Arati Ankalikar Tikekar, born on January 27, 1963, stands as a prominent figure in the realm of Indian classical music, with active contributions predominantly in Marathi, Konkani, and Hindi film industries. Renowned for her adeptness in Agra, Gwalior, and Jaipur styles of singing, she has garnered accolades and distinction, including two National Film Awards for Best Female Playback Singer.

Her musical journey spans recordings on audio cassettes and CDs, notably lending her captivating vocals as the main playback singer for acclaimed films such as Sham Benegal’s “Sardari Begum” and other notable movies like “Antarnaad,” “De Dhakka,” “Savlee,” “Ek Hazarachi Note,” and “Dil Dosti Etc.” Her albums, including “Tejomay Nadbrahm” and “Raag-Rang,” showcase her mastery and versatility in classical music.
