Anubhuti Kashyap, born and raised in Obra, Uttar Pradesh, in a Hindu family, completed her education at Sophia School in Ajmer City, Rajasthan. In addition to her role as an assistant director, she has also directed several acclaimed movies.
As the sister of filmmakers Anurag Kashyap and Abhinav Kashyap, she seamlessly entered the film industry. Her career began as an assistant director in 2009 with the film ‘Dev. D.’ She has since worked on other films in this capacity, including ‘The Tiger Hunter’ in 2016 and ‘Gangs of Wasseypur’ in 2012.
In 2013, she wrote the short romance film ‘Moi Marjaani.’ Anubhuti also directed the TV mini-series ‘Afsos’ in 2020. Throughout her career, she has collaborated with renowned personalities such as Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Huma Qureshi, and Manoj Bajpai. Currently, she is directing the dark comedy suspense series ‘Afsos.’
