Anshu was initially spotted by cameraman Kabir Lal, who later recommended her to director K. Vijaya Bhaskar and cast her alongside Nagarjuna in Manmadhudu. She is well-known for the popular Manmadhudu song Gundello Emundo. The actress has starred in the lead role of Jai, a Tamil movie with Prashanth. After getting married, she left the movie business.
