Anju Mahendru

Biography:

Actress and former fashion designer Anju Mahendru hails from India. Her most well-known roles are those of Beeji in Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai, Kamini Gupta in Kasautii Zindagii Kay, and Reeva in Kahiin to Hoga.

Madan Mohan, the music director, has a sister named Anju Mahendru. Gary Sobers, a cricket player, once courted Mahendru. From 1966 to 1972, Mahendru and actor Rajesh Khanna were romantically involved. Since Khanna had aged 27 and was already quite popular by 1969, Khanna’s mother had expected him to get married soon. However, when Khanna proposed to Anju in 1971, she stated that she wanted to put off getting married because she wanted to pursue a career as an actor. Khanna persisted in his desire to wed Mahendru because he still loved him.

Because Khanna was liked by Mahendru’s mother, Khanna also gave them a home. However, after allegations surfaced that she had dated Gary Sobers in 1971 and Imtiaz Khan in 1972, Khanna grew tired of her lack of devotion to marriage and ended her relationship with Mahendru in 1972.

Eight months prior to the release of the movie Bobby, in March 1973, Khanna wed Dimple Kapadia. It was not until 1987 when Anju and Rajesh spoke to one another. From 1972 to 1979, Anju was in a relationship with Imtiaz Khan, but they ended things in 1979.
