Ana Thu Nguyen

Biography:

Actress Ana Thu Nguyen is of Vietnamese heritage and is from Australia. Her most well-known role was that of Sindel in the 2026 movie Mortal Kombat II. Nguyen was born in an Indonesian refugee camp to Vietnamese parents. Nguyen was reared in Sydney when her family was granted sanctuary in Australia when she was a baby. Nguyen graduated from the University of Sydney with a double degree in law and commerce. Nguyen was employed as a consultant following his graduation from the University of Sydney. After a few years, Nguyen made the decision to give up advising in order to follow her longstanding ambition of becoming an actress.

In 2022, Nguyen made her screen debut as Lollypop in the movie The Spy Who Never Dies. Nguyen played Rose, an executive assistant, in the Australian television series One Night on Paramount+ in 2023. She also starred in Dan Widdowson’s Get Free and had an appearance in the Australian action drama Suka. Nguyen’s casting as Sindel in the Warner Bros. Pictures movie Mortal Kombat II (2026) was also revealed. Alongside Jeremy Piven, Ryan Kwanten, and Tricia Helfer, Nguyen was cast in the Australian film Primitive War, directed by Luke Sparke.
