Biography:

Amrita Chattopadhyay is an Indian actress known for her work in both film and television. She made her debut in the film industry with Buddhadeb Dasgupta’s “Anwar ka Ajab Kissa.” Following her debut, she appeared in numerous Bengali, Hindi, and multilingual films.

Amrita completed her schooling at Patha Bhavan Kolkata and earned her undergraduate degree with honors in sociology from St. Xaviers. She continued her academic journey by pursuing post-graduation studies at Jadavpur University, where she achieved first-class marks in both instances.

Her cinematic journey began with filmmaker Buddhadeb Dasgupta’s movie “Anwar ka Ajab Kissa” in 2013, although the film did not have a theatrical release. She has taken on leading roles in Bengali films, including “Janla Diye Bou Palalo” and “Meher Ali.”

Amrita initially focused on Bengali cinema but later expanded her horizons to include Bollywood and other film industries. Her filmography includes projects such as “Kolkata Calling,” “Bhengchi,” “Meher Aali,” “III Smoking Barrels,” and “Ahaa Re.” Additionally, she has been featured in television commercials for products like ITC Ashirvaad atta, Patanjali kesh kanti shampoo, and Srijan real estate.

Beyond her film career, Amrita has been actively involved in digital platforms. She has been part of several web series, including “Byomkesh Season 3,” “Teen Kanya,” “Bou Keno Psycho,” “Manbhanjan,” and “Paanch Phoron 2,” showcasing her versatility and presence in the digital entertainment space.
