Alik Sakharov is a film and television director who was born on May 17, 1959. He is an active member of the American Society of Cinematographers (ASC) and a former director of photography. Sakharov made his debut in the US film industry in 1985 when he started working as a lighting cameraman in the New York industrial video scene. He later went on to shoot narrative films, music videos, and commercials.
Marco Polo Sakharov directed the Netflix shows “Feast”; “The Fourth Step”; “Lost Crane”; and “The Fellowship” in seasons one and two. “Marco Polo: One Hundred Eyes” is the name of the stand-alone Christmas special episode he directed.
He directed Goliath episodes for Amazon Studios in 2016. He began directing chapters 55, 56, 59, 66, and 72 of Netflix’s House of Cards that same year.
He directed Ozark episodes in 2018. Sakharov joined The Witcher later that year. He gracefully left the project after finishing almost three of the first season’s episodes.
