Akhilesh Mishra is a renowned Indian character actor who has made a significant mark in both the film and television industry. Born in Siwan, Bihar, Mishra completed his schooling at Chhapra Zila School and pursued a Bachelor of Science in Physics (Honours) at Chapra’s Rajendra College. Although he initially aspired to become an engineer, Mishra’s passion for acting led him to the theater at a young age. His theatrical journey began with a role in a Bhojpuri drama centered around child marriage titled “Gauna Ki Rat.” He later honed his acting skills by joining the Indian People’s Theatre Association (IPTA) and the Ekjut theatre group.
Mishra made his first appearance in the movie “Dharavi” in 1993, directed and written by Sudhir Mishra, which received the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Hindi, Best Music Direction, and Best Editing in 1993.
