Biography:

Ajay Sastry, a man of many talents, wears several hats with ease. He is a movie director, writer, poet, and even a former lead singer of rock bands. His creative journey began with a short film, “12” (Baarah), produced by esteemed names like KAD Movies and Rana Daggubati.

Before helming his own directorial debut, “Nenu Meeku Telusa” in 2008, Ajay honed his skills as an associate director and screenplay writer for films like “Rakhi” and “Danger”. His passion for storytelling extends beyond filmmaking, as evidenced by his published poems featured in the “American Anthology of Poetry”.

Ajay’s artistic inclinations are further reflected in his past as the lead singer of rock bands like “Alter Egoz” and “Jekyll and Hyde”. His oratory skills were recognized through his presidency of the Young Orators Club and his success at various youth festivals.

Interestingly, Ajay’s journey wasn’t always focused on cinema. He served as a dance instructor for five years after participating in the ‘World Championship of Modern Western Dances’ in London through the YMCA. This experience further solidified his connection to the performing arts.

Ajay’s diverse background and artistic talents have undoubtedly shaped his approach to filmmaking, making him a unique voice in the industry.
