Ajay-Atul is an Indian music composer duo of brothers Ajay Ashok Gogavale and Atul Ashok Gogavale. For their work on the Marathi film Jogwa in 2008, they were granted the Government of India’s 56th National Film Awards’ Best Music Direction honor. They debuted in the Forbes India Celebrity 100 List in 2015, where they landed at number 82. In 2019, they came in at number 22. They have written music for numerous popular Hindi and Marathi movies.
Ashok Gogavale, an officer in the Revenue Department of Alandi, Pune, is the father of Ajay and Atul. Due to their father’s transferable employment, they were raised in a number of western Maharashtran villages, including Rajgurunagar, Junnar, Shirur, Manchar, and Ghodegaon. The younger brother, Ajay, was born on August 21, 1976, while the elder brother, Atul, was born on September 11, 1974.
They never showed much interest in academics as children. However, while they were still in school, their passion in music grew. They began experimenting with music at this period. Ajay performed an existing composition in a unique way for an NCC competition, and their experiment was awarded first prize. They were motivated to pursue their musical talents by this experience
