Abhirami Suresh

Biography:

Abhirami Suresh is an Indian actress, singer, musician, composer, and video jockey. She, along with her sister Amritha Suresh, is the lead vocalist of the music band Amrutam Gamaya, and they are also known for their vlogging activities.

She was born to P. R. Suresh and Laila, with an elder sister, singer-composer Amrutha Suresh. Abhirami had a passion for acting from a young age and, despite coming from a family of musicians, she initially did not see herself as a singer. After completing class eleven, she pursued a diploma in acting and directed a short film as part of her undergraduate course. Abhirami is also involved in modeling and runs a jewelry brand called Aamindo.

Abhirami got her first acting offer after her impressions on the music reality television show Idea Star Singer in 2007. She played roles in television serials like Hello Kuttichathan (2008 – 2009) and later ventured into films such as Keralotsavam 2009 and Gulumaal: The Escape (2009). She made her Tamil acting debut with Kerala Nattilam Pengaludane (2014) and played lead roles in films like Beware of Dogs (2014) and Kubera Rasi (2015).

In December 2018, Abhirami and Amrutha started a YouTube channel, Amrutam Gamay – AG, where they share vlogs related to their personal lives, travel, food, music, and more. Abhirami also entered the Bigg Boss (Malayalam season 2) house as a wildcard entrant on day 50.

Abhirami is not only an actress but also a musician. She began composing at a young age and is a keyboardist and violinist. She, along with Amrutha, is part of the music band Amrutam Gamaya, which has performed internationally. Abhirami has composed bhajans and, in collaboration with Amrutha, has written and composed songs for their band.

In addition to her musical pursuits, Abhirami and Amrutha have composed and sung singles for films such as Crossroad (2017) and Aadu 2 (2017). Abhirami has showcased her talents as a VJ by hosting the daily music show Dear Kappa on Kappa TV.
