Vishal began his musical journey at six, playing the keyboard and showcasing his talent through solo performances by the time he turned ten. He obtained a master’s degree in Electronic Media from Anna University and gained extensive experience working on over 450 short films and 250 advertisement jingles. His exceptional skills earned him the title of the best music director in the Nalaya Iyakkunar show on Kalaignar TV. Vishal completed the foundation course at the KM Music Conservatory to further enhance his expertise.
In 2012, Vishal debuted as a composer with the film “Hi Da”, directed by Brindha Das. The movie had a grand audio launch attended by Gautham Menon in January 2013, although it did not see a theatrical release. Vishal received praise for his work in Santhosh Sivan’s war film “Inam” (2014), with the music being noted for its emotional connection and impactful background score. He also contributed to the Telugu film “Hrudayam Ekkadunnadi” (2014) and gained recognition for the song “En Kannukulle” in the Tamil science fiction film “Appuchi Gramam” (2014).
Vishal garnered critical acclaim for his work in Siddharth’s “Jil Jung Juk” (2015), where he collaborated with renowned music composers Anirudh Ravichander, Santhosh Narayanan, and Sean Roldan for the album. The song “Shoot the Kuruvi” received significant attention, and Vishal showcased his versatility by blending 1950s swing, and EDM influences in the tune “Red Road.” He recently worked on the films “Sawaari” and “Krishna Gaadi Veera Prema Gaatha,” featuring Nani. Vishal also ventured into independent music by creating music videos with his project “Rhythm of Life”, collaborating with young technicians and artists. One of the project’s tracks, “Naan Raaman Illai,” was released by Sony Music Entertainment in May 2017, featuring male and female vocals by Yazin Nizar and Kavya Ajith, respectively.
