Vikram Sirikonda

Biography:

Indian screenwriter and filmmaker Vikram Sirikonda is most recognized for his contributions to the Telugu film industry. The Telugu movies Race Gurram (2014), Mirapakai (2011), and Konchem Ishtam Konchem Kashtam (2009) all had screenplays by Vikram. As a screenwriter for the first time, Vikram received the 2009 Nandi Award for Best Screenplay for the film Konchem Ishtam Konchem Kashtam.

Vikram Sirikonda was born in Warangal, Telangana, and his family relocated to Hyderabad in 1993. Vikram has always had a talent for performing, penning stories and language, and he has authored numerous theater plays. Vikram holds an engineering bachelor’s degree from BMS College in Bangalore and a filmmaking diploma from the Asian Academy of Film & Television in Delhi.

Following the completion of his schooling, Vikram worked as an assistant director on V. V. Vinayak’s 2003 film Tagore. Throughout Samba (2004) and Bunny (2005), Vikram continued to support V. V. Vinayak. Vikram joined Raghava Lawrence in Style in 2006 as the first assistant director.

In his subsequent foray into screenwriting, he quickly found success with the films Race Gurram (2014), Mirapakay (2011), and Konchem Ishtam Konchem Kashtam (2009). In 2018, he made his directorial debut with Touch Chesi Chudu, directed by Ravi Teja. It was created by Nallamalapu Bujji, and JAM8—Pritam’s apprentice band—performed the music. However, it received unfavorable reviews from the public as well as critics after its premiere. It was a terrible commercial failure.
