Venky Kudumula is an Indian filmmaker known for his work in Telugu cinema. He has directed two films: “Chalo” (2018) and “Bheeshma” (2020).
While studying agriculture and business management at Acharya NG Ranga University, Kudumula ventured into the film industry. He started as an assistant director to Teja for “Neeku Naku Dash Dash” (2012) and worked as a writer for “Thoofan” (2013). Kudumula later served as an assistant director for “Jadoogadu” (2015) and “A Aa” (2016).
Kudumula made his directorial debut with “Chalo” (2018), starring Naga Shaurya and Rashmika Mandanna. The film, set in a village on the Andhra Pradesh-Tamil Nadu border, received positive reviews. Critics noted Kudumula’s ability to turn clichés into an entertaining narrative.
His next directorial venture was “Bheeshma,” featuring Nithiin and Rashmika Mandanna. Similar to “Chalo,” the film received acclaim for its storytelling. Critics praised Kudumula for his skill in weaving the story’s various elements together.
In December 2021, Kudumula announced a project with Chiranjeevi under DVV Entertainments, but the film was later shelved for undisclosed reasons. He is set to collaborate with Nithiin and Rashmika again for a film produced by Mythri Movie Makers, featuring music by G. V. Prakash Kumar.
