Sumanth Reddy, popularly known as Vaibhav, is an accomplished Indian actor primarily active in the Tamil film industry. Born on 21 April 1978 in Chennai, he is the son of renowned Telugu filmmaker A. Kodandarami Reddy. Vaibhav marked his entry into the film world with the Telugu movie “Godava” in 2007, which was directed by his father, A. Kodandarami Reddy.
Although his debut was in Telugu cinema, Vaibhav gained widespread recognition for his notable roles in films directed by Venkat Prabhu, such as “Saroja” (2008), “Goa” (2010), and “Mankatha” (2011). His association with Venkat Prabhu continued, and he showcased his acting prowess in movies like “Chennai 600028” (2016). Vaibhav’s filmography also includes noteworthy performances in “Kappal” (2014), “Aambala” (2015), “Aranmanai 2” (2016), and “Meyaadha Maan” (2017).
Vaibhav’s educational journey took place at the Cambridge Matriculation Higher Secondary School in Lloyds Road, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, and St. Bede’s Anglo Indian Higher Secondary School in Chennai. His family connection to the film industry extends to his elder brother, Sunil Reddy, who made his acting debut with “Seethakaathi” in 2018.
