Sukanya is a Bharatnatyam dancer, actress, singer, and voice actor from India. She has appeared in some Malayalam, Kannada, and Telugu movies in addition to Tamil ones.

In 1991, she began her acting career. From 1991 to 1998, she was one of the leading Tamil actresses. She performs dance all around the world. Additionally, she has written the songs for the albums Azhagu and Thirupathi Thirukudai Thiruvizha.
