Biography:

Actress K. V. Srilekha Nair, well known by her stage name Sshivada, is primarily seen in Tamil and Malayalam movies. She’s been honored with two SIIMA Awards.

In Tiruchirappalli, Tamil Nadu, Sshivada was born as K. V. Srilekha Nair to Malayali parents Vijayarajan and Kumari. She attended school there till she completed grade five. Following her fifth grade year, her family relocated to Angamaly, where she attended Viswajyothi CMI Public School. She graduated from the Adi Shankara Institute of Engineering Technology with a degree in computer science engineering. She has a daughter and is wed to her longterm partner, Murali Krishnan.

Sshivada made her acting debut in the Malayalam anthology film Kerala Cafe (2009) in a tiny role. However, she didn’t receive enough credit. She was then discovered by Malayalam filmmaker Fazil while working as a VJ in television, and he cast her as the lead female character in his 2011 film Living Together.

She then went to the Tamil movie Nedunchaalai’s audition. Despite being Malayalam by birth, Sshivada succeeded in dubbing for her debut feature. She states, “I moved to Kerala after attending school in Chennai through my fifth standard. I was born in Trichy.

Thus, I feel at ease speaking Tamil.” For her portrayal of Manga, a Malayalam country girl who owns a dhaba, Sshivada won appreciation.Sify wrote, “new find Shivada…steals the show,” in reference to . With great elegance and élan, she executes the loud, angry, and righteous Manga with a light touch, lighting the screen in the process.

Baradwaj Rangan referred to her as a “terrific newcomer.” She plays Priya in her next spooky thriller Zero, which is helmed by Bharat Bala’s former assistant Shiv Mohaa. Priya is described as “a modern-day wife, who is also orthodox and holds on to some traditional values.” Sshivada got a new contract in March 2017 to work on a movie with Ashwin Saravanan, co-starring with S J Suryah and Wamiqa Gabbi.
