Sonia Deepti

Biography:

Sonia Deepti was raised in Hyderabad, Telangana, where she was born. She worked as a software engineer in an IT company for three years after earning her degree in computer applications before transitioning into acting. Sekhar Kammula noticed her at an event and, after watching her perform in an audition, offered her a role in a movie. She accepted the invitation and portrayed Shravs in the 2007 Telugu film Happy Days, making her acting debut. After its release, the movie was a hit and earned six accolades at the 2008 Filmfare accolades South, including the Best Supporting Actress Award for Sonia for her well-received performance.

Her second film, Vinayakudu, which she co-starred in with Krishnudu in Happy Days, was released in late 2008 and went on to be a commercial success. She soon received offers from the Tamil film business as well, and in 2010, she made her debut in Tamil with the romantic-action movie Paiyaa, which was directed by N. Lingusamy. Inidhu Inidhu, a Happy Days remake in which she reprised her original role, was her other Tamil movie that year.The buddy of Samantha’s character was played by Sonia in the 2011 Telugu movie Dookudu.

In January 2014, she made her Kannada acting debut in the movie Ninnindale, starring Puneeth Rajkumar and Erica Fernandes.

She published a short film on her YouTube account the night before International Women’s Day in 2015. Megha Wali wrote the screenplay for this movie, which explores the ethics and morality of moral policing. It received positive feedback on social media and was praised by a number of celebrities, including Ram Gopal Varma and Amitabh Bachchan. Hyderabad’s Country Club is where it was filmed.
