Shihan Hussaini

Biography:

Shihan Hussaini is an accomplished Indian karate expert who has also ventured into the world of acting in Tamil language films. Alongside his brother Ishaq Hussaini, he made a name for himself in the Tamil film industry. Shihan Hussaini gained recognition not only for his acting roles but also for his notable contributions to the martial arts community, establishing a school to nurture young martial artists. His early acting career saw him play roles in films like “Punnagai Mannan” and “Velaikaran,” where he portrayed antagonists, earning him recognition in the industry.

Apart from his acting and martial arts endeavors, Shihan Hussaini has made headlines in the Indian media for his deep admiration and devotion to the late politician Jayalalitha. He demonstrated his loyalty through various unique acts, including creating portraits of her using his own blood and even crucifying himself with the word ‘Amma’ (a term of respect for Jayalalitha) on his T-shirt, praying for her electoral success. These actions, although widely regarded as unconventional and criticized by some, reflected his unwavering support for the political figure.

In more recent years, Shihan Hussaini shifted his focus towards archery coaching and became the founder and general secretary of the Archery Association of Tamil Nadu. Additionally, he transitioned into the culinary world, currently working as a chef and hosting a TV show named “Athiradi Samayal” on Mega TV.
