Biography:

Indian film editor Sathish Suriya has edited movies in Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, and Kannada.Sathish Suriya started his work as an editor for the Indian television network Apt TV.

Later, he decided to work in post-production for Madras Talkies, the production company owned by Mani Ratnam. Sathish worked as an apprentice under Sreekar Prasad for ten years at the production studio.

He was involved in the creation of several films, such as Five Star (2002), Aaytha Ezhuthu, Yuva (2004), Guru (2007), and Raavanan (2010). After working on films such as Naan (2012) and Oru Oorla Rendu Raja (2014), Sathish made his primary editing debut in Priya’s Kannamoochi Yenada (2009).

Serving as the primary editor for Sudha Kongara Prasad’s bilingual films Irudhi Suttru and Saala Khadoos (2016), which starred Madhavan, was his most well-known project to date in 2016.

Sathish worked on distinct edits for both films, even though they were shot simultaneously in two languages to accommodate the nationalities of each language. His work in Soorarai Pottru (2020) earned him a nomination for the Critics Choice Film Award’s Best Editing category.
