Biography:

Sanjay Kapoor is an Indian actor and film producer who has worked predominantly in the Bollywood film industry. He was born on 17th October 1965 in Chembur, Mumbai, India. Sanjay Kapoor comes from a prominent film family, as he is the son of film producer Surinder Kapoor and the younger brother of actor Anil Kapoor.

Sanjay Kapoor made his acting debut in 1995 with the film “Prem,” which also starred Tabu. Although the movie didn’t fare well at the box office, Sanjay Kapoor received positive reviews for his performance. However, it was his second film, “Raja” (1995), opposite Madhuri Dixit, that brought him recognition and success. The movie was a commercial hit, and Sanjay Kapoor’s portrayal of a simple but lovable character was appreciated by the audience.

Following the success of “Raja,” Sanjay Kapoor acted in several films, including “Auzaar” (1997) with Salman Khan and “Sirf Tum” (1999) alongside Sushmita Sen. However, despite being a part of notable projects, Sanjay Kapoor’s career did not witness consistent success, and he faced a series of setbacks. He took a break from acting for a few years before returning to the screen with films like “Shakti: The Power” (2002) and “Koi Mere Dil Se Poochhe” (2002).

Apart from acting, Sanjay Kapoor also ventured into film production. He produced the critically acclaimed film “Tevar” (2015), starring his nephew Arjun Kapoor and Sonakshi Sinha. The film received positive reviews for its performances and action sequences.

Sanjay Kapoor has also appeared in television shows, including the popular series “24” (2013), where he portrayed the character of Bala, a government agent. His performance in the show was well-received by the audience and critics.

In addition to his work in the entertainment industry, Sanjay Kapoor is actively involved in various business ventures. He is the owner of a popular nightclub in Mumbai called “LAP,” which is frequented by celebrities and socialites.

Sanjay Kapoor is married to Maheep Sandhu, and the couple has two children, Shanaya Kapoor and Jahaan Kapoor. Shanaya Kapoor has also stepped into the entertainment industry and made her debut as an assistant director in the film “Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl” (2020).
