Prime VideoDahaad is a Hindi police procedural crime thriller series created by Reema Kagti and Zoya Akhtar, directed by Reema Kagti and Ruchika Oberoi. The show features Sonakshi Sinha, Gulshan Devaiah, Vijay Varma, and Sohum Shah in lead roles.
The story is about Anjali Bhaati who investigates a series of deaths where women are found dead in public bathrooms. The death first appears to be a suicides, but as the investigation progresses, Bhaati realises that there’s a serial killer on the loose. The storyline is inspired by the infamous serial killer Mohan Kumar, also known as Cyanide Mohan, who targeted women seeking marriage.
Dahaad holds the distinction of being the first Indian streaming series to premiere at the Berlin International Film Festival, where it vied for the Berlinale Series Award. It was released on Amazon Prime Video on May 12, 2023, and received favorable reviews from critics.
