RRR’s Oscars race gains momentum

Ever since Variety named NTR as one of the possible actors who could get an Oscar nomination for best actor, for Oscars 2023, there has been a lot of chatter around the matter. This has now gained momentum, with the Indian jury currently shortlisting the films they want to send to the Oscars from India this year.

Naturally, RRR is said to be a part of this list, and sources reveal that the team of RRR is planning to invest a lot, should RRR be finalised as India’s official entry to the Oscars. RRR has been a magnanimous hit, taking the world by storm. After the film’s release on Netflix, it has further captivated the world’s audience, as the movie became available to the Western audience.

Netflix is also said to be falling behind RRR’s nomination, and has reportedly offered to extend its support to rally as much as possible, to make sure that the film manages to find a place in Oscars. It is now to be seen what will happen ultimately.
