Rajamouli’s last film RRR starring Ram Charan and NTR got a special mention from the Academy on Friday. The Academy announced a new category called “Achievement in Stunt Design” to honor the best action scenes in film.
This new award will be part of the Oscars starting in 2028 which marks the 100th anniversary of the Academy Awards. They said “Stunts have always been a magical part of movies. Now, they’ll be a part of the Oscars too”.
Along with this announcement, a poster featuring Everything Everywhere All at Once, RRR, and Mission Impossible was released.
RRR is one of the biggest Indian hits ever and even won an Oscar for Best Song with Naatu Naatu, featuring NTR and Ram Charan. The film was a massive success worldwide.
Rajamouli, Ram Charan, and NTR will be attending a special Q&A session at the Royal Albert Hall in London on May 11th.
