Neeraj Ghaywan’s film Homebound, starring Janhvi Kapoor, Ishaan Khatter and Vishal Jethwa has been officially selected for the 78th Cannes Film Festival.
It will be screened in the ‘Un Certain Regard’ section which focuses on unique and artistic films. This marks Ghaywan return to Cannes after nearly a decade with his earlier film Masaan also being showcased there in 2015.
Homebound is produced by Dharma Productions along with other collaborators. Karan called this a proud moment for Indian cinema.
Janhvi expressed her love and called it a big moment for Indian cinema. Ishaan shared that this was his most challenging role to date and called the experience a dream come true.
The film celebrates strong storytelling, and talent, representing India on the global stage. It is seen as a proud milestone for everyone involved in the project.
