Pradeep Machiraju took a gap and came back with this new film Akkada Ammayi Ikkada Abbayi. Deepika Pill) is being introduced as the heroine of this film, and Jabardasth show makers Nitin –Bharath are the directors. The trailer and promotional content have gone viral. So how’s the movie? Let’s see.
Story: Rajkumari (Deepika) is the only girl born after almost 60 sons in her village. Since good things happened to the village when she was born, the people of the village decide that she should never be allowed to cross the village. Eventually, they decide to marry her to one of the 60 boys in the village. Krishna(Pradeep Machiraju) enters the village and falls in love with Raja. Did the people of the village accept the love of Krishna and Raja? How hard did Krishna struggle to win love?
Performances: Pradeep Machiraju’s comedy timing and body language are well known to all. In this film too, he impressed with his comedy timing and screen presence. The role of Rajakumari, played by Deepika, is like a dream debut for every heroine. Because in commercial films, we have seen the roles of heroines who are only seen in songs or romancing the hero. Such is the story of this film, which revolves around the character of Rajakumari. Deepika was equally impressive in the role and delivered a good performance.
Satya and Getup Srinu’s comedy timing is hilariously impressive until the first half. Their comedy punches and scenes have to be appreciated by the theatres. Vennela Kishore, Brahmaji, and Muralidhar Goud are the other comedians in the film. Neither their characters nor their comedy worked out much. Though Jhansi has fewer scenes, she created a good impact with her seniority.
Technical Aspects: Radhan’s (Radhan) music and Bal Reddy’s cinematography are the main assets of the film. It is very rare for small-budget films to show this level of technical quality. Therefore, not compromising on the crucial DI and coloring of the film crew is also a plus. Radhan’s songs in particular are not only melodious but also beautiful. The core point of the story is new. Therefore, the way the story was established is also decent. So the audience did not have many logical doubts.
Analysis: Director duo, Nithin–Bharath’s television experience helped a lot, knowing how to land any kind of joke and how the audience would receive it. So the comedy punches and sequences in the film worked out very organically. The director duo prepared the ground at the same level and immersed the audience in it.
But by the end of the second half, the concept of marriage for 60 people was not properly synced. The ending feels like a nervous ending. If the second half had also been written properly, the film would have been a blockbuster hit. Overall, director duo Nithin–Bharath have successfully showcased their talent to the audience and earned a place in the industry.
The story is good; the narrative is impressive. The drama woven around the characters is also decent. A hit film requires more than that. Still, if you can ignore the minus points in the second half like the emotion not working properly and the comedy also not landing well. But still, the film can be enjoyed happily by sitting in theatres.
Verdict: Overall, Akkada Ammayi Ikkada Abbayi is a comedy caper that generates good fun but is rushed in the end. If you love crazy comedies, give the film a shot but be prepared for the routine drama.
Bottom Line: Passable comedy
Akkada Ammayi Ikkada Abbayi Rating: 2.5/5
